Sweet Husky Got to Pick Out Her Own Kitten at the Animal Shelter

When a lady named Christina got a Tamaskan Husky puppy, she knew that she was going to get to fulfill a lifelong dream. Ever since she could remember, Christina wanted to have a kitten and a puppy who could grow up together. First, she got her puppy and named her Raven. Raven was absolutely adorable and totally happy, but just a little bit lonely. Because of this, Christina knew that it was time to get a kitten, but she had a special plan in place. She wanted Raven to have some say-so in which kitten came home with her. After all, they were going to be growing up together.

Not only that but adopting an animal is a life-long commitment, so Christina knew that she wanted to make sure that Raven approved and also got along well with the kitten that they would choose to bring home. So Christina and Raven headed to the animal shelter in Lubbock, Texas to find a kitten to welcome into their family. Christina said that she wanted Raven to actually meet the kitten herself to make sure it was a good fit. The shelter staff was very accomodating and brought out four kittens to introduce to Raven. Interestingly, three weren’t a good fit. But then there was a fourth.

There was one little fluffball of a kitten named Woodhouse and she was officially the one. She and Raven hit it off right away and Christina knew that they had their new family member. It’s been a few years since that day, but Christina’s dream has come true. Raven and Woodhouse grew up together, spending every waking (and sleeping!) moment together. The two are inseparable, and Christina says they’re perfect for each other. Raven got not just a new family member but also a best friend, all in the same day.

According to Christina, the two don’t cuddle as much as they used to, but they’re still always together and playing all the time.

In fact, they even share their birthday party together.

They even travel together.

And most importantly, they still sleep together, although they’re quite a bit bigger now.

It doesn’t get much better than that.
