Rescued Baby Orangutans Enjoy A Free Wheelbarrow Ride Back To The Nursery

It doesn’t matter what type of animal we are talking about, each and every one of them deserves a chance to live and to be happy. Animals enhance our lives in so many different ways. This is true of the animals that may inhabit our home but it is also true of the wild animals that may live in an entirely different area of the planet. As an example, orangutans are some of the most beloved animals in the world, but most of us don’t ever have the opportunity to see them unless we happen to go to a local zoo. That isn’t the case, however, at the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation in Indonesia.

More than likely, we have some animal charities in our own area that rescue dogs, cats, horses, or other animals that are commonly found in our neighborhoods. In Indonesia, however, the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation is a charity that helps orangutans that have become orphaned or are facing other problems, such as deforestation and forest fires. These animals come to the foundation in order to get back on their feet again and eventually, they are reintroduced into the wild. It’s a fantastic program that we can all appreciate.

There’s also something else that we can appreciate about this foundation, and that’s the awesome wheelbarrow rides that they give to the young orangutans. It seems as if these youngsters were off enjoying a day of play and on their way home, they piled into wheelbarrows and took a ride.

I don’t know about you, but I would gladly jump into the wheelbarrow with these youngsters and take a ride with them. It is actually part of their schooling because they get to be part of a nursery group where they can interact with juvenile orangutans and prepare for life when they are reintroduced into the wild again.
