Photographer Captures The Perfect Shot Of Stunning Bald Eagle

It wasn’t all that long ago that people carrying cameras around with them were considered to be a ‘shutterbug’. In today’s world, if you don’t have a camera with you, it is actually unusual. After all, we carry them with our electronic devices and we might find that we are taking pictures on an ongoing basis, either of ourselves or of our surroundings. Many of us have such a library of pictures on our electronic devices that we don’t even have the opportunity to go back through them and see the pictures that we actually took.

Every once in a while, however, we might hear about somebody taking what is referred to as a perfect picture. Of course, it is subjective, because beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. When you see a picture that is captured at just the right moment, however, it is something that can really take your breath away. You may be able to describe the picture in any number of different ways but more than likely, the word ‘perfect’ is going to come out. Photographers will wait a lifetime for that perfect shot, and a photographer named Steve Biro had the opportunity with a bald eagle named Bruce.

Biro has been taking pictures of bald eagles for a while but on this day, he was focused on taking pictures of Bruce. He told the BBC: “He’s squared up perfectly, both wings are touching the water. That [photograph] was the one that struck me as little more special than the others.”

The picture was posted online and it went viral. When you see the picture for yourself, you can tell why.

Biro started taking pictures about 10 years ago. That is when he came across Bruce, the bald eagle while taking pictures at Ontario’s Canadian Raptor Conservatory. He says:

“He’s really awesome and fairly well behaved but also has a mind of his own too.”

Biro was going to take a picture of Bruce flying over the water but the eagle didn’t seem to be happy with where he was set up with his camera.

“He was actually trying to brush me away from where I was perched,” he told the BBC. “I could feel the breeze from his wings as he flew over me. The other people who were there were gasping as he came over my head. It was really quite exhilarating.”

He managed to snap a picture while Bruce was flying overhead with breathtaking results.

“I knew it was a great image when I saw how balanced it was but never in my wildest dreams did I expect anything of this magnitude.”

The picture was able to get to the front page of Reddit.

“It warms my heart to know I might bring joy to people who may not even be able to leave the house and that they love to see the world through my eyes.”
