When most people think about having a pet, they think about having a dog or a cat in their family. If they are really taking a walk on the wild side, they may even think about getting a rabbit or perhaps even a guinea pig. Of course, animals come in all shapes and sizes and at times, an unconventional pet can make the best companion. That is what many people have discovered about chickens, and although they aren’t often regarded as the wisest animal in the barnyard, they sure do have a lot to offer to anyone who takes one in their home.
I’d like to introduce you to 20 different pictures of chickens that show just how amazing these animals can be. In each of these pictures, you get to see chickens doing what they do best, being awesome. In some cases, it’s a matter of them taking an unfamiliar animal into their brood, such as a duck, some kittens, or even a potbellied pig!
