We have a lot of cats who are members of our family. Although we do cat rescue, the truth is, we end up keeping more cats than we find homes for. When you have a certain number of cats, it’s easy to have a couple of cats that look alike. For example, we took in four black cats a few years ago, all from the same litter. The idea was to find homes for two of them, but we got no takers. Apparently, black cats aren’t one of the more popular colors when people are looking for a new feline companion. Well, we love them. The problem is that they all look identical to most people. One of them died last year (may he rest in peace), but the other three are peas in a pod.
However, like the parents of twins and triplets, we who love them can usually tell them apart by touching them (their fur has different texture) and by looking at their faces carefully. Some have upturned noses, while others have a certain way of sitting. But what happens if you have a situation where you have two cats that are so much alike, you really can’t tell them apart at first? That’s what happened to Stanislav Zak when his beloved tuxedo cat disappeared. He was so completely devastated, as we all would be if our pet disappeared, and many of us have experienced that heartbreak. However, Stanislav’s grief was short-lived because his beloved kitty returned. Or so he thought. But then, Stanislav’s actual cat returned.
Possible solutions:
The Parent Trap but it’s cats
Face Off but it’s cats
Mission Impossible but it’s cats
Cats but it’s The Prestige
We’re in the Matrix— James Felton (@JimMFelton) April 7, 2020
We have entered the Twilight Zone. Oh. My. Goodness. Those cats look so much alike. I have a tuxedo cat and I swear she looks just like both of them, right down to the beautiful silver whiskers. And when comedian James Felton shared the photo on Twitter, fans went crazy for these two twins.
Our universe, that is.
Another universe has a missing cat.

Someone even suggested the photo was Photoshopped, but I don’t think so. See, if you know and love cats, you can see that the cats are different, although very similar. One Twitter user also pointed this out.

James Felton offered some possible ideas for exactly what went down. They included “The Parent Trap but it’s cats,” “We’re in the Matrix,” “Face Off but it’s cats,” and more. Know what I think? I think Stanislav just got really lucky. Now he has two of these gorgeous creatures to love.
