Humans have been actively exploring the surface of the earth for thousands of years. Most people would assume that by now, they have learned almost everything that there was to know about the planet where we live. The fact of the matter is, however, the vast majority of the planet is yet unexplored and there are still many secrets that are hiding, just waiting to be discovered. What I’m talking about is the area under the sea.
The mysteries of what lies underneath the surface of the ocean have been very elusive. There have been very few people and very little effort that has been put into understanding the resources, wildlife and everything else that we have been missing as far as ocean life is concerned. When we do see something amazing in the ocean, it takes us by surprise. That is what Capt. Dave Anderson saw off the coast of San Clemente. He flew one of his drones into the air and got some footage that is going to make your day.
At first, it may appear as if the waves and water is rather normal for what you might find near Dana Point, California. It is what is below the water, however, that is really going to blow your mind. Perhaps you have seen footage of stampeding animals on land, such as cattle but the same thing happens in the ocean as well. What was captured was dolphins that were moving through the ocean and it is amazing. Thousands of dolphins are included in this mega pod.
This isn’t the only thing. The drone was not expensive but it was carrying a GoPro camera and it really captured the essence of what was seen. It was off the coast of Maui, Hawaii that the drone caught a humpback whale mother snuggling with her baby calf. You could see the escort whale keeping an eye on the family.
