It’s hard to imagine anything more devastating for a dog than losing his or her owner. One dog decided to make her new home at her owner’s final resting place. But, it turns out that she was also hiding a secret. The dog in the following story lives in Serbia. She is a German Shepard who loved her owner deeply. Since she was a puppy, her owner took excellent care of her. But one day her owner suddenly fell ill. As time passed, her owner wasn’t able to take her out on as many walks as they once enjoyed together. The dog knew that her master’s health was not getting better, but she was determined to be by his side until the end.
Unfortunately, her owner passed away. He was laid to rest in a local cemetery, and his dog was able to attend his funeral. But when it was over, the dog refused to leave her owner’s grave. Initially, the owner’s children tried to remove the dog physically, but she would not move. Eventually, they gave up and decided just to allow the dog to stay at the grave. It turns out that the owner’s children did not care much for his dog, but they did decide to stop in and check on her on occasion. However, for the dog, she felt she was where she needed to be.

The day after the funeral, the owner’s son stopped by to visit his father’s grave and the dog. It was then when he discovered that the dog had managed to do something rather unusual. Overnight, she dug out a small den on top of the grave, under the tombstone. Once again, the dog refused to leave the grave, so the son decided to snap a photo and post it on Facebook.

It didn’t take long before millions of people saw the picture online and were awed by her heartwarming loyalty to her deceased owner. But own viewer noticed something different in the photo, which led her to conduct her own investigation. Vesna Mihaljloski had looked at the photo and felt there was something more to it than met the eye. As luck would have it, the cemetery where the dog was now living happened to be close to her home. So she decided to visit the animal.

When Mihaljloski arrived at the grave, she managed to confirm her suspicions quickly. The dog was not alone.

At some point during the first night at her master’s grave, the German Shepard had given birth to a litter of adorable puppies.
So Mihaljloski contacted the son on Facebook and told him the news. However, the son still did not want anything to do with the dog or her puppies.
At that point, Mihaljloski decided to take care of the dog and her puppies on her own. However, she noticed that the puppies were not looking well and that the mother was also very weak.

Not long after, Mihaljloski managed to nurse the mother dog and her puppies back to good health. And soon, she was able to locate loving forever homes for the puppies. Mihaljloski also decided that she would keep the mother dog, realizing that she was an incredibly loyal and loving companion. Of course, the dog will forever miss her original master, but at least she’s able to live out her days with another person she can love and who loves her as well.
The owner’s children chose to abandon their father’s loyal dog and her puppies because they were not convenient.

However, thanks to a kindhearted woman, this loyal dog, and her puppies are now in loving homes. Hopefully, this loyal dog has managed to find a small measure of peace and happiness.
