We often get the opportunity to get up close and personal with the local wildlife. Sure, the animals may change depending on our location but we might see them along the road, in the woods and even in our own yard or home. We sometimes hear about these animals getting into some mischief and even causing damage to homes and cars. In some areas, it might be bears or deer but when you are in Florida, you also need to be worried about running into an alligator.
When David Jacobs was in Florida for a wedding, he rented a vacation home and thought he would enjoy his time in the ‘Sunshine State’. When he went back to his temporary home, he saw something that made him think twice about leaving his little dog outside. It was an alligator and it was hanging out in his backyard.
When Jacobs came home at a later time, he saw something even more unusual. The alligator was floating on a pool float and he couldn’t help but take a picture. After all, the float was also shaped like an alligator so it was basically a gator hitching a ride on a gator.
Jacob put in a call to the owner of the property so the proper authorities could be called to remove the gator. He also couldn’t stop himself from grabbing a picture of the gator taking a ride in the pool.
I think it is funny that they could have picked any type of pool float, from a flamingo to an avocado but the choice of an alligator was most unusual. Maybe he was just a little lonely? Nobody is sure but we do know that the picture is just too adorable.
