I think we could all agree that dogs are adorable but they mean different things to different people. For some, a dog is a protector and they may feel comfortable when they have a dog in the house at night. For others, a dog could be more of a family member and they may even talk to the dog, almost as if the animal is going to answer back. Most people appreciate the fact that dogs have the ability to show a kind of love that is often lacking in today’s world. Regardless of why you love having them around, however, you would probably admit that they are awesome.
Dogs make up a very important part of our lives and it’s not just a matter of having a dog in your family at times, it is sometimes about watching other dogs on videos or on TV. There are many dogs that may capture your attention but one of the favorites of many people is a golden retriever. After all, they have one of those adorable, friendly, and goofy personalities that just seems to warm our heart from the moment that we meet them. They are also very beautiful, as you are about to see in this video from the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. The show has been around for 144 years, and the golden retriever is always a favorite but has never won the best in show award.
I think everybody who was watching the dog show this year thought that the golden retriever would finally get his big break. This three-year-old golden is named Daniel and you can see that he is quite beautiful as he trots around the ring, being led by his handler. It was easy to see that the fans absolutely love him, but he still had to come up in front of the judges.
Unfortunately, for Daniel, it wasn’t his year to win best in show. It did go to a standard poodle that has been a favorite for five years, and that poodle is a beautiful dog. It wasn’t long, however, before the Internet was calling for justice. It will be interesting to see what happens next year.
