Cops Break Up A Horrible Puppy Mill; A Year Later, The Dogs Reunite

Victoria Stillwell may not be a name that you had ever heard before but after you learn what she did in this story, it will be a name that you don’t quickly forget. She is a dog trainer and she is very interested in the health and welfare of all dogs. That is why she got involved in a police operation that ended up busting a huge puppy mill operation. That puppy mill had been operating since the 1980s and it was time for it to be taken down.

When the smoke cleared and everything was accounted for, there were some 526 dogs that were taken away from the puppy mill. Those dogs had been living in horrible conditions and were basically confined to rabbit hutches in order to breed puppies for sale. After being rescued from the mill, they were taken to a local animal shelter so that each of them could find a forever home. This is something that was supported by the community and in the end, every dog was adopted.

In itself, that was a rather amazing feat but what is perhaps more amazing is the sentence that was handed down. The owners of that horrible puppy mill were found guilty of 25 charges of animal cruelty. They will end up spending 25 years in jail.

Most of us would agree that it is a little bit of karma that they have to sit behind bars with no friends to play with. It is poetic justice in action.

We often hear a lot of stories about animals but when you hear about these types of rescues, it is a very heartwarming situation. It was on the one-year anniversary, however, that this amazing story got absolutely incredible. The owners of those rescued dogs got together to honor their pets and they had a party.

Every animal deserves to have a forever home where they are treated with respect and love.
