There is something that is very common in the world today and it has even been the point of much debate over the years. It’s the relationship that tends to exist between cats and dogs. That relationship, which has not always been earned, is stereotypically one in which they do not get along well with each other. In fact, there is even an expression, ‘fighting like cats and dogs’ that shows you just how much people believe those two species can’t get along.
When you have a dog and a cat in your household, however, you realize that there is not always truth in those common sayings. Many of us have seen dogs and cats in our family get along beautifully and although there may be some tussles every once in a while, at the end of the day, they are still family members that love each other. Every once in a while we may find yourself in a situation where we need a voice of reason. We might be ready to charge into a dangerous position in order to defend ourselves or our honor but somebody is there to stop us and let us know that we are heading in the wrong direction. The cat can be seen approaching the other cat and is doing so in a way that you know there is a fight on the horizon. The other cat just seems to be waiting there until its rival gets close enough when suddenly, the cat has a most unlikely hero show up.
It’s a dog, and he walks up beside the cat, grabs her by the leash and drags her in the opposite direction. It’s almost as if he is saying, “not on my watch!”
When people started seeing this video, they agreed that golden retrievers are absolutely good friends, even with the cats in their lives. One of the viewers even commented, “Goldens are too pure for this world.”
After hitting Twitter, the video went viral and it has been viewed over 10 million times so far. Many people are saying it is one of the best things that has shown up online in many years.
