When we have a feline in our lives, it isn’t long before we realize that they are very unique animals. Each of them is going to have their own personality and it is something that we come to appreciate and even love about each and every cat that crosses our path. It is especially beautiful to those who adopt cats because they want to share a happy home with them and they typically get back much more than they could ever hope to give. Even though that is true, they still do what they can to give at every opportunity, and giving is what this story is all about.
Lazuli is a beautiful cat that was adopted by a family along with her sister Lapis. They were only kittens when they came into the Lazuli family and like any cat, it wasn’t long before they started showing their personality. As far as Lazuli’s personality was concerned, there was something a little quirky that showed up before long. Many cats will love sleeping in the sink because it is a cool location that provides a little bit of shelter. As it turns out, however, Lazuli was absolutely obsessed with sleeping in the sink.
The family says that she loves the sink so much that she will spend several hours every day hanging out in them. The family realized how much she loved it so they decided to buy her a sink of her own.
“She kept sneaking into the bathrooms as we were leaving them to relax in sinks and then would yell for help when she realized she was stuck in there without the rest of her pack/pride,” Lazuli’s dad told The Dodo.
The family has a house big enough so that Lazuli and Lapis can have their own room. The parents decided that they would buy a sink and put it in the room, and they went to Home Depot in order to purchase it. They had to choose the one that they thought would be just right for the felines, and it seems as if they hit the nail on the head!
“It was only like 30 bucks which isn’t really much more than most cat trees and toys, so it was worth it,” Brennan said. “It’s not even heavy like you would think so it was easy to set up for her.”
After the sink was set up, you could see that Lazuli was absolutely thrilled with the gift.
“She’s essentially saying … ‘Really?! My own sink just for me,’” Brennan said.
The cat uses her sink at every opportunity. She hangs out in it every time she can and she loves the fact that the other felines in the home don’t seem very interested in it.
