One of the oldest arguments, and one that still circulates today, is the argument about cats vs dogs. Some people consider themselves to be ‘cat people’ and other people consider themselves to be ‘dog people’. As you are about to see, however, it’s not always a matter of cats vs dogs, it is a matter of cats and dogs and they can get along beautifully. That is clearly seen by the way that Cynthia Bennett and her boyfriend look after their animals, and the pictures will warm your heart.
Cynthia and her boyfriend love to hike and they adopted Henry, their dog at an adoption event in 2014. He was only 14 weeks old at the time but he was much larger than the other puppies at the event. He curled up into Cynthia’s lap, put his head over her arm and immediately captured her heart.
“I think we only had him for three days when we took him on our first hike,” Bennett said. “He found the steepest, tallest rock around, and he ran up to the top of it to look over the edge.” That’s why they started calling him their “little mountain goat.”
Recently they decided that another pet should be added to their family so they chose a rescue kitten. They searched for five months before finding a Siamese kitten mix named Baloo. This cat just immediately fell in love with Henry and they wanted nothing more than to snuggle and play.
Soon, they were going on trips together. They weren’t sure how it was going to work at first but it wasn’t long before every member of the family got into it. You can see some of the pictures from their travels below:
