There is an old saying that ‘mother knows best’ and if we haven’t experienced the truthfulness of that saying in our life, we have probably said it on more than one occasion. After all, our mothers have a lot of wisdom and typically, much more than we do as a youngster. We may feel as if we know best but we are quickly reminded that mother’s way is always the right way. At times, we may learn the lesson the easy way and at other times, we may end up learning it the hard way. I think that the little bear cub in the following video learned a hard lesson.
It happened in North Carolina early in the morning, when Sumer Walser Williams and her husband heard something on their porch. They woke up, not really sure what they were going to find but they stood face to face with a peeping Tom. “We heard clanging outside our bedroom window that backs up to our front deck,” Williams told The Dodo. “Sure enough, when I put the front deck lights on, there was a cub at the front door.” I don’t know about you, but I would be at least a little worried if I saw something like a bear staring in the window at me.
As it turns out, it took Williams and her husband by surprise. After all, they were probably still trying to wake up when suddenly, they were face to face with a curious little animal that was peeking through the window. Needless to say, they weren’t upset, they were thrilled to be woken up in such a way.
“We remember thinking, ‘This is totally cool,’” Williams said.
As it turns out, not everybody was as excited about the bear cub looking in the window. Suddenly, the mother bear showed up and she was unhappy about the situation. I’m not quite sure what was said between these two animals, but I think that most of us have heard it from our mother at some time in the past. You can see more in the following video:
