We sometimes hear about animals that do some pretty amazing things. Perhaps we even have a pet that we consider to be special in that way. For a couple named Donald and Jane, however, they saw something miraculous happen and it shows the love that can really permeate the relationship of animals, not only with humans but between each other. You see, Donald and Jane have 23 Shire horses on their UK farm. Two of the horses were an 11-year-old stallion, Beau and a 16-year-old mare, Beatrice. They had been in the same stable for many years.
Beatrice went through a rough stretch when she began suffering from severe abdominal pain. The pain was so severe that she collapsed in the stable and was at risk of dying from organ failure. Donald and Jane worked along with the other farmworkers to get her on her feet, but it was difficult because she was just too large. During that time, she had an extreme increase in her heart rate and blood pressure and it was looking as if they were going to have to put Beatrice down. The time was running out when something amazing happened and Beau showed just what he could do for his beloved.
Jane decided it was time to let Beau out of his stall so she opened the door but he didn’t head for the outside, he went over to Beatrice. He put his neck over the wall of the stable and started biting her neck and pulling her to her feet by her head. You could really see that he wanted to do everything he could to save her.
It took a few minutes but Beatrice was able to roll over to her other side and stand up. She was even able to make a full recovery after that miraculous event. This not only surprised Donald and Jane but the veterinarian that was standing by was amazed at it as well.
