We have come a long way in this world when it comes to tolerating others. It is especially true when it comes to disabilities because, unfortunately, it wasn’t all that long ago that somebody who had a disability was looked down on and judged by most people. Although there are still some who will judge others, it is a lot less frequently seen. We still have a ways to go, but it’s amazing to see the progress that we have made.
One of the disabilities that some children suffer from and they continue to have it into adulthood is down syndrome. If you have ever had someone in your life who has down syndrome, you realize that they are a very loving and compassionate individual and most families would agree that they wouldn’t have it any other way. What you may not realize, however, is that animals can also have down syndrome at times.
It’s important to recognize that not all of the pictures are of animals with down syndrome. Some of them are just animals that have a birth defect and others may just be making a face. Only animals that are closely related to humans are able to have down syndrome, but if you have a child with Down syndrome, you will appreciate the images.
