If you have an animal in your house, you don’t need anyone to tell you that they can be stubborn sometimes. You may tell them to do one thing and they do the exact opposite. It’s not that they don’t understand what you want them to do, they just feel that it is important that they get a dig in every once in a while. You may have this problem with dogs and cats but if you have a cockatoo in the home, you realize they have a mind of their own as well.
Cockatoos are certainly interesting birds but they also have something very special that makes them unique. They are able to mimic many of the words that we say along with other sounds, and it can lead to some rather unusual situations. You learn very quickly that you don’t tell secrets within earshot of the bird and you certainly watch your language because you don’t want them to become a potty mouth.
That leads us to the cockatoo in this video. Her name is Pebble and over the course of the past 20 years, she has lived in 10 different homes. It is unusual because these birds tend to bond with a human and they have a long life. It is not out of the ordinary for a cockatoo to reach 100 years of age and they can learn a lot over the course of a lifetime.
Pebble had a problem because she didn’t want to go back to her cage. Not only did she get a little upset, but she also flew off the handle with a string of curse words that would make a sailor blush. If you’ve never heard a bird swearing like this before, you are in for a rather unusual and rude awakening.
How many different statements can you pick out of this train of angry words? You might be surprised by what you hear.
