Billy Joel Takes A Horrible Tumble Onstage And Needs Emergency Surgery

Billy Joel is an amazing performer and he has been entertaining audiences for many years. Most recently, however, it seems as if he is having more difficulties and he has taken a nasty spill on stage.

When Billy Joel was performing a concert at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Connecticut, it seemed as if he lost his footing. He picked up a microphone and tossed it behind him but he made a quick turn and ended up collapsing to the stage.

This was a shocking event that took many people in the audience by surprise and undoubtedly, Billy Joel was surprised that it happened to him as well. As it turns out, that wasn’t the end of the story.

After he fell on stage that evening in Connecticut, two months passed but then he needed to have some medical attention. Emergency surgery was performed and it caused him to postpone his current tour as a result.

He posted this in a statement, in which she said that his tour was rescheduled for the next four months because of the sudden surgery he had to undergo. That surgery seems to be associated with him falling while performing ‘It’s Still Rock ‘n’ Roll to Me’ while he spun his microphone stand.

We all have to deal with the aging process and as we get older, it may be possible that we don’t have the balance that we once had. Billy Joel managed to lose his balance in front of thousands of fans, as his right arm jerked backward before he dropped to the floor.

The sudden announcement about emergency surgery was given by Billy Joel publicly but the details were not shared with the masses. It could be that the two different things are associated with each other, because he did land on the stage with quite a thud.

In the end, he tried to shake things off as if he was doing just fine and he continued on with the performance. Things like that have a way of catching up to you, however, and it seems as if it caught up to him.
