Individuals who own Tesla cars seem to be hiding the fact that they are Tesla owners by swapping out the logos with rival car companies. These videos have gone viral as people try to put some distance between themselves and Elon Musk to avoid vandalism.
Elon Musk has made quite a name for himself, but recently it has not been a very good name. His political agenda and his connection to the president of the United States as the chief of DOGE is to blame.
As Tesla drivers are now afraid of being targeted by Elon Musk haters, they are rebranding vehicles with logos from other car manufacturers. We’ve seen Toyota, Mazda, Honda, and others in these pictures.
When the photos showed up online, people began commenting. Some people are genuinely sympathetic to the individuals who are facing this possible backlash. Others just think it is hilarious.
One image, in particular, is about as funny as it can be. I don’t know if this person was just trying to be humorous or if he really thought they could pull the wool over somebody’s eyes, but they pasted the words TOYOTA on the back of a Cybertruck.
There were also some practical suggestions that came in from those who saw the photos online. For example, one just said to buy a big bumper sticker that lets people know you didn’t understand that Musk was such an idiot.
I wonder how the other car companies feel about this.
