There are some people who have the ability to sing in an amazing way. When they get up on the stage to perform, it’s unlike anything we’ve ever heard before.
Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo both have that ability, and they can give you goosebumps when they start to sing any song. When they get together, however, they push things over the top and that is what we saw at the 2025 Oscars.
Many people are calling the opening of the 2025 Oscars the ‘best Oscars performance ever’. It is when Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo got together to perform in front of an audience and it really stood out as being something memorable.
When the movie, Wicked was released, it was truly an incredible event. Even people who were fans of the stage musical seem to be fans of the movie as well. In part, this is because both Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were cast in their roles of Glinda and Elphaba perfectly.
Many people were worried that they were going to miss out because the Oscars were going without some performances from the Best Song nominees. Fortunately, Grande and Erivo performed hit songs from Wicked and the Wizard of Oz to open the show.
At the beginning, Ariana was wearing her ruby red dress and she sang Over the Rainbow. When Erivo showed up in a white outfit, they were quite the pair. It ended with a standing ovation that was well-deserved.
