One of the more interesting things that many of us will do in our life is move into a new home. It tends to come along with a certain degree of nervousness but there is a lot of excitement associated with it as well. In many cases, you will have the opportunity to create a space that is uniquely your own and to do a little bit of redecorating. Yes, there is a lot of work involved but there are also many rewards.
Something else that many of us appreciate about a new home is the fact that there is some mystery that surrounds it. When we move into an existing home, we may actually be a just a little bit creeped out until we get used to all of the creaks and squeaks that tend to happen as we move about or even in the middle of the night. When Rosie moved into a new home, she had something unusual happen to her as well. There were flower petals that kept showing up on her porch.
Rosie started to notice the flower petals at her new home. She thought that it was the wind blowing them onto the porch at first but eventually, she started getting suspicious.
It was too much of a coincidence that there were so many flower petals on her porch for the wind to be blamed. Another option that she considered is the possibility of a secret admirer who was using a nearby garden path to gather flowers and deposit them as a sweet gift.
Rosie was fixing dinner one day when she caught a glimpse of that secret admirer. It was a female and she was carrying a flower in her mouth.
As many of us would do in this electronically connected world, Rosie grabbed her camera and shot a video. It showed the stranger jumping up on the back porch, leaving some flowers and taking off. As it turns out, it was Willow, the neighbor’s cat!
“It was at least 10 flowers before we realized it was her.”
This adorable cat was just trying to say thank you to Rosie for all of the kindness that she showed. How this feline decided to put flowers on the back porch will always remain a mystery.
“For a while, it was just a legend that it was her until yesterday when I was cooking and spotted her jumping down with a pink flower in her mouth. I was so excited that I went to film it because she’s so cute and I’d never seen a cat ever bring back anything but dead animals before.”
Rosie first ran into Willow when she was getting the home ready. As she was walking down the hallway, she saw Willow asleep in her home, almost as if she belonged there.
Willow will meow at the glass patio doors nonstop if they are shut so that Rosie will open them up and let her in. She just wants to take a nap and it seems as if some other neighbors are also fans of the feline as well.
Some neighbors keep cardboard boxes so that she can take a nap comfortably. They will even leave out some cat food and treats for their furry neighbor.
“Willow loves the attention from her neighbors. Willow rules over about six of the gardens, and I’m pretty sure she gets fed by everyone because she’s very difficult to say no to.”
When you see Rosie’s back deck all covered in rose petals, it is quite pretty. Willow seems to have a preference for pink flowers and lots of them!
“She clearly likes us because she steals flowers from (her owners) and leaves them on our deck.”
What Willow does has endeared her to Rosie and now she can come in for a nap anytime she wants. She is even allowed to hang out on the couch.
