One of the things that many people enjoy doing every day is scrolling through Instagram. It seems as if that is not only true for those of us who are regular people, it’s also true for celebrities.
One person who would love to be on social media and Instagram in particular is Sally Jessy Raphael. The problem is, the social media company doesn’t seem to want to play nice with her.
Despite the fact that Sally Jessy Raphael has claimed to have gone to Instagram to give them proof of her identity, they are refusing to verify her account.
She said: “So, Instagram doesn’t want to give me my blue check – no matter what proof I send them. AND there’s a fake account called ‘realsallyjr’, and that’s NOT ME! Help me let Instagram know, so we can fix this.”
The Sally Jessy Raphael Show, which was later just called Sally, was among the first syndicated talk shows that involved the participation of the audience. She was also a leader and at the forefront of helping many women in the business, including Oprah, who started her show three years later.
Sally Jesse Raphael has interviewed many celebrities, although Audrey Hepburn was always her favorite. She said: “I was so awestruck, I could hardly ask a question. Everything she did, I admired. Everything she had done in her life I found to be exemplary.”
When she first started her show, she had difficulty seeing the Teleprompter, so she decided to get some glasses. When looking for a new prescription, she booked an appointment for an ad that offered an eye test, glasses, and a Pap smear.
She was told that she would need an expensive pair of glasses but they only had them in red. That is how she got her signature red glasses and even though producers have tried to change them, she has accumulated some 200 pairs.
Unfortunately, she still seems to be having difficulty getting on Instagram. She has fewer than 650 followers as of the last time we checked, but hopefully, those numbers are growing.
