Travis Kelce Calls Trump At The Super Bowl A ‘Great Honor’ And Swifties Lose Their Minds

People tend to be very passionate about what they love, and they are also passionate about what ruffles their feathers. And that is why it is not uncommon to see people who love football and love hating politics.

The two of those came together recently when Travis Kelce responded to a question about having President Donald Trump at the Super Bowl on February 9, 2025. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was asked how he felt about Trump attending the game and he said that it was ‘awesome’ and followed up that ‘it’s a great honor.’

Kelce then went on to say: “I think you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know. And having the president there — it’s the best country in the world — and that’s pretty cool.”

It wasn’t long before clips from the pre-Super Bowl press conference began circulating on social media and Swifties weren’t very happy. They were disappointed in the karma that her boyfriend was showing, considering that Trump has criticized Swift publicly more than once. In addition, Swift has her opinions as well.

For one, Swift endorsed Kamala Harris during the 2024 election and Trump said that he was ‘not a fan.’ In a Truth Social posed in September, he more specifically said: “I hate Taylor Swift!”

After Kelce said something positive about Donald Trump, the fans of the singer were not very happy. They felt that it was a disappointing answer and called him ‘spineless’ for not taking the opportunity to defend his girlfriend.

Swift doesn’t leave anything to the imagination when it comes to how she feels about Donald Trump. Who knows, perhaps this is a bone of contention in their relationship.
