People Are Shocked At The Cost Of Each Deportation Flight

Many people have heralded Donald Trump’s order to deport illegal aliens as being a big step in the right direction. This is part of his crackdown on immigration, and people are not surprised that he took that step.

Ever since Trump entered the White House just a few weeks ago, policy changes have been quick to come our way. A number of orders have been signed off, including stopping the ban on TikTok and declaring that there are only two genders.

One order that got a lot of attention was associated with immigration, and even before he was in the White House he said that he would launch the ‘largest deportation program in history’. He even said that as many as 20 million people could be deported.

In his words: “We will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came”

Trump has ordered many federal agencies, including the FBI, DEA, ATF, US Marshals, and the Bureau of Prisons to look through their databases for any information that could point to an undocumented migrant. This would help them to identify the location of those migrants.

One of the things that wasn’t always considered was the cost of deporting each of those illegal migrants. According to some reports, military deportation flights cost US taxpayers $4,675 for every individual who is shipped out.

Considering the fact that a first-class ticket on a commercial airline averages about $850, it comes at quite a price tag.

It may also vary, depending upon the flight that was taken. For example, a C-17 flight costs about $252,000 but a C-130E flight could cost as much is $852,000. DHS flights are about $8,577.

There is some wiggle room in how much it costs but obviously, it is expensive. Despite the cost, Donald Trump is set to send immigrants from El Paso, Texas to Guatemala.

In a speech the other day, he said: “For the first time in history, we are locating and loading illegal aliens into military aircraft and flying them back to the places from which they came. We’re respected again, after years of laughing at us like we’re stupid people.”

Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary added: “President Trump is sending a strong and clear message to the entire world: if you illegally enter the United States of America, you will face severe consequences.”
