Kelly Ripa Breaks Down Emotionally On Live TV After Facing An Incredible Loss

Losing anyone close to us is a devastating issue and pet owners realize the same can be said of the loss of a dog or cat. This was seen in a very touching way recently when Kelly Ripa broke down in tears.

As Ripa was taking part in a live television show, she began talking about how her beloved dog, chewy, had passed away. It was easy to see that she was still dealing with a considerable amount of grief, and she quickly became overwhelmed.

When we lose a dog, it is more than losing an animal that shares our home. In many ways, they have become a member of our family, and pet owners understand the devastating effect of grief when a pet passes.

Now that Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos are mourning the loss of their 17-year-old dog, they are struggling to say goodbye. Chewy had lived a long and good life, but struggled with weeks of declining appetite, and eventually, the parents made the decision to end his suffering.

The emotional breakdown occurred during an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark. Mark opened the show and said that Chewy had passed away at the age of 17.

He said that his health deteriorated rapidly and he was severely dehydrated. When Kelly heard those words, she couldn’t help but start crying.

She thought that she could keep it together but the emotion of the situation was too much to handle. She said: “I’m really sorry. I thought I got it all out, guys. I really thought I got it all out, and I apologize because I did not. This is not how I wanted this to go down. God, she gave us so much.”

Kelly spoke about how truly was a loving and special dog. He remained there as a constant in the home, as their children grew up and left for college. He was a companion, a source of joy, and a family member.

Kelly said: “She was very much like a cat, you know, in a lot of ways.

”She pet you when she wanted affection. She never let us kiss her face. She was very precious about her face. She was not that dog. And, after she passed away last night, I kissed her a thousand times on the face, I kissed her nose.

”I’d never kissed her nose before. And I know that she was like, somewhere in dog heaven, p**sed! But, I didn’t care because it was just so nice to have that.”

Many were touched by the honest words about their beloved dog and those who watched the show likely cried along with her. There have also been many who have poured out their hearts and expressed their condolences for the loss.
