Laughing is something that is universally enjoyed and one way that we can do it is by listening to a comedy act. That is where Peter Kay comes in.
In 2010 and 2011, Peter was busy with his ‘Tour That Didn’t Tour’ which broke a lot of records. One routine that was particularly enjoyed by many was the misheard lyrics, and some say it is one of the funniest things they have ever watched.
The principle behind what the sketch focused on was how easy it is to not hear lyrics properly in songs that we may have been listening to for years. Some of us may discover the real lyrics when we look them up online or perhaps we decide to get up on stage and sing karaoke.
Some of the funny misheard lyrics that he brings out include Sr. Sledge’s and her We Are Family song, where it sounds like she says ‘staple the vicar.’ Michael Jackson also made a list with people hearing ‘your burgers are the best’ in his song, You Are Not Alone.
This is one of those routines that you actually have to hear to appreciate. Just be warned, you might want to share it with someone you love because it’s better than laughing alone.
