Any death has the possibility of affecting people on a very personal level. It is especially true when it is someone who is known by millions.
Ken Flores, a standup comedian based in Chicago and known for his raw sense of humor has passed away at the age of 28. He became famous after posting on social media, including Instagram and TikTok.
His family announced the passing on Instagram, stating: “It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our friend, brother, and son, Kenyi Flores.
“Please respect our privacy at this time as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss.”
The comedian was known for his comedy, and he regularly appeared in Los Angeles at comedy clubs, including the Laugh Factory in Hollywood and the Comedy Store. One of his better-known standup tours, Butterfly Effect began on January 10 in Portland and concluded in San Diego on April 19.
Many tributes have started to pour in after the announcement of his passing. People are not only sharing their condolences but also stating how they are devastated over the loss of someone so talented and young.
Other comedians are also expressing their thoughts on the matter, including Neema Naz, who writes: “I was hoping this wasn’t real. What a tragic and devastating loss to the world. Ken was a gem and was going to be a star one day. RIP.”
René Humberto Valdiviezo also paid tribute, saying: “My brother, it was a blessing to know you and share you with the world. You changed my life. You had so much left to do. My heart hurts for everyone whose life you made better.”
Flores posted on X just the day before he passed away, saying how excited he was for the tour. The post said: “I started my tour a couple weeks ago and I’m proud to say I’ve done every single show.
“Five in Portland one in Albuquerque and four in Atlanta without a single drop of alcohol. Nervous for Phoenix next weekend but I think I got it I’m not sober just wanna chill a bit.”
It has been reported by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office that Flores died in his home as a result of a cardiac arrest. CPR was performed, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
