People may have varying opinions about Melania Trump but one thing is certain, they will have an opinion. Many may find her to be uncaring and cold, but she showed a different side of herself recently.
Johnny Maga is a social media user on X and he shared a 30-second video of the First Lady comforting others after they lost everything in the Palisades fires. She was speaking in her native language of Slovenian and more than 2.4 million people have watched it.
Something that many people don’t know about the First Lady is that she seems to do well speaking different languages. She can actually speak six different languages, including French, Italian, English, German, Slovenian, and Siberian.
Somebody translated the exchange, which included a woman introducing herself in Serbian and saying that she had lived in California since she was young. Melania then asked about the woman’s family and she said that she had two sons.
California was also visited by Pres. Donald Trump as he looked over the wildfire devastation. They gave him a tour of the Pacific Palisades and he argued with local officials over delays in rebuilding the area caused by regulations.
The first lady offered words of comfort in both Siberian and Slovenian to the woman who was affected by the wildfire. Fans loved seeing her speak three of those six languages that she is capable of speaking.
Trump is pushing for expediting the efforts of rebuilding and helping those in need. He also spoke about the inefficiency of FEMA and was critical of red tape getting in the way of those rebuilding efforts.
This was the first time that Trump traveled since he became president this time around. He was able to exchange some words and a cordial handshake with Gov. Gavin, despite the earlier differences.
Trump said: “I appreciate the governor coming out and meeting me. We want to get the problem fixed … It’s like you got hit by a bomb.”
This was interesting to watch.
