On December 20, 2025, the 47th president of the United States, Donald Trump, was sworn in. It happened in Washington DC during his second inauguration.
The president’s wife, Melania Trump was there with him and many eyes were upon her. It wasn’t just her they were watching, but it was her outfit and she didn’t disappoint.
Adam Lippes is the fashion expert behind the design of her outfit. Some people said that they absolutely loved it and other people said that it was off base.
The double-breasted dark navy coat with sharp lapels was an interesting choice. She also had on close-toed heels and black gloves, along with a wide-brim, double-faced hat. The white band on the hat really made it stand out.
Melania had her hair tucked under the hat and had a minimalist look, although she was very polished for the occasion. There were many pictures taken on that day, including some with her and the vice president’s wife, Usha.
Unlike Melania, she had on a pink coat that was cinched at the waist along with gloves and boots. They all accentuated each other’s style of dress very nicely.

Many agreed with the estimation of her look, and others were saying that she didn’t want anyone to see her face. They also thought that it was impolite to wear a hat indoors or said that it looked ridiculous.
