If you’ve ever been to an NFL game, you realize that tensions can run rather high. Sometimes, we may even cut loose and do something that we wouldn’t typically do, but there are certain lines we shouldn’t cross.
In an NFL wildcard game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, a rather unusual incident occurred. Someone captured the moment on video and it circulated on social media, resulting in a man being fired from his job.
In the video, a man wearing an Eagles jacket is clearly heard calling a woman an ‘ugly dumb c***’, and then he went on to insult her fiancĂ©. Let’s just say, it wasn’t his best moment.
So many people were upset at what was done, but one who definitely had her ear was Derrick Gunn, an NFL reporter. He said the Eagles could identify the fan and he was banned from future games.
🚨BREAKING: The #Eagles fan who verbally attacked the #Packers fans has been FIRED from the “DEI-focused consulting” company that he works for.
Since the viral video, the man has been forced to delete all social media and banned from attending all Philly games. https://t.co/0lbxb0yBZ3 pic.twitter.com/AwmpIZwdri

Gunn said: “The guy will be banned from future Eagles games.. the Eagles will be sending the woman Packers gear as an apology… Eagles once again showing what a class organization they are.”
On social media, people started identifying the person by name and it wasn’t long before it was spreading across platforms. This led to his employer finding out about the incident and investigating it. They decided to fire him.
That management consulting firm based in New Jersey, BCT Partners condemned his actions. In a statement, they said: “In keeping with our company values, which are firmly centered on respect, dignity, and inclusion, we have decided to part company with the employee. This separation is effective immediately.
“We condemn our former employee’s conduct in the strongest possible terms.
“This individual’s conduct and language were vile, disgusting, unacceptable, and horrific and have no place in our workplace and society. Such conduct is not who we are and not what we stand for.”
The couple who were the victims of the abuse were identified as Ally Keller and her fiancĂ© Alex Basara. They spoke to the news about the incident, saying: “He started out with playful jabs at first or kind of just saying things to us right when we sat down.
“I chatted with him for a bit. But then he just kept saying some of the same things. Continued through the entire game. It got worse and worse as the game went on. We were surrounded by Eagles fans. We were getting all the attention.”
Eventually, things took a sour turn and as they say, the rest is history.
