The world has really been focused on the royal family in recent months. It seems as if this is also true in the United States, as Dolly Parton is now joining in on those who are talking about the family.
Dolly Parton sent a personal invitation to the royal family. She would like them to come visit her in Dollywood. It would be amazing if they took her up on the offer.
The country music singer would like to meet Kate Middleton and she wants the family to bring along the children, George,11, Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6. She is sorry that she missed an opportunity to meet Kate in the past and now she would like to get together with her at this time.
Dolly said: “Oh, I would absolutely love for them to come to Dollywood, that would be fantastic! The kids could go on all the rides, and we would treat them like royalty!”
If Kate Middleton, the possible future queen of England does come to Tennessee, Dolly promises to be herself. She said: “I’d give Kate my mashed potatoes — I wouldn’t put on any airs for them.
“I would just let them enjoy what we enjoy, and I’m sure that’s the way they would want it. I would love to have those kids at Dollywood.”
Kate spoke to BBC Radio 2 and said that she had had an interest in meeting Dolly in the past. The princess had invited her for tea but Dolly part was busy working on an album at the time.
Dolly said: “This time, Lordy, I even got invited to have tea with Kate. I felt so bad. And I felt so bad … I couldn’t even go! They had all this stuff set up. But I thought that was very sweet and nice of her to invite me to tea. One of these days, I’m going to be able to get to do that, wouldn’t that have been great?”
As of yet, Dolly Parton has not had an opportunity to be Kate Middleton person. She was in London in 1977 and met Queen Elizabeth. Dolly also shared a message on Instagram when the Queen passed away.
She said: “She carried herself with grace and strength her entire life. May she Rest in Peace. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.”
