The world has been watching the royal family very closely in recent months. That is especially true of Kate Middleton, as she has been dealing with a cancer crisis.
We don’t get much news out of the royal family when it comes to their health, but Princess Kate did give an update after receiving the cancer diagnosis. They never said what type of cancer it was, but the treatments finished in September.
We can only imagine the relief that was experienced by Prince William and Kate Middleton as those treatments came to an end. They were able to focus more on the children and the royal family did well with handling it.
On November 6, Prince William was in South Africa and he opened up about Kate Middleton. Someone had asked, and he said: “She’s doing really well, thanks. And hopefully, she is watching tonight. So cheering me on.”
During the time that Kate was receiving treatment, she stayed away from the spotlight. She posted on Instagram when the chemotherapy treatments were over, saying:
“The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face-to-face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”
She also said that Prince William was important for keeping the family strong while she recovered. She is now focusing on staying healthy.
“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can. Despite all that has gone before I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.”
We are so thankful that things seem to be going well.
