When you are a celebrity, you quickly become accustomed to being in the spotlight. This is especially true for mega-celebrities, such as Jennifer Lopez.
Not only do people find an interest in spotting Jennifer Lopez in public, they will often talk about her choice of clothing. When she was spotted on October 30 in Los Angeles, she was shopping with her daughter Emme, and the focus was on her pants.
To say that she was wearing a relaxed outfit would be an extreme understatement. The ‘dirty’ jeans that she was wearing were so casual that many of her fans were questioning whether they were age-appropriate. Those fans were expressing their disapproval.
Lopez was out with her daughter and she was wearing Acne Studios’s Super Baggy Fit Jeans. According to the website, they are a big-waist, super wide-leg pants that have ‘fading and smudging throughout.’
In order to balance out the look of dirty pants, she paired it with a few refined pieces, including a large tote bag.
She also accentuated the look with some Ugg boots, and as she was walking through the streets, she tried her best to ignore the paparazzi. Eventually, she and her daughter went into the American Rag Cie to do some shopping.
The reactions to her choice of jeans were mixed among her fans. Some of them were questioning whether her pants were dirty or if that was the style these days. Others said that she was not dressing appropriately for her age.
Some of the more humorous comments were in regards to her needing to get some new pants or that she should simply throw those out in the trash.
Despite the fact that some were not happy with the look, there were others who admired Lopez, calling her beautiful and saying that ‘she doesn’t age.’
We all have the right to wear what we want, but I don’t think she was setting the standard on this particular day.
