She Broke All The Rules When She Went Into The Hospital With A ‘Baby’ Hiding Under A Blanket

When our loved ones are at the hospital, we know that they are going through a difficult time. Sometimes we just want to do what is necessary to make them feel better, and this may include stepping outside of the lines.

One woman who understands this very well is 21-year-old Shelby Hennick. Her grandmother was staying in the hospital with a serious problem but Shelby had something in mind that would make her feel better. Her gesture made her go viral.

The grandmother was in serious pain because of the lung problem and she wanted to feel better, so that is where Shelby came in. You see, the one thing that the grandmother really wanted was to see her dog, Patsy.

Shelby decided to give her grandmother exactly what she wanted. She would sneak Patsy into the hospital by wrapping her in a blanket. This allowed her to get around the hospital rules that disallowed dogs inside.

Since Shelby was a veterinarian, she knew how to calm the dog who was originally resistant to being wrapped up in a blanket. Once the dog was calm, she snuck into the hospital without telling anyone.

It was a big surprise and the grandmother was so excited to see her beloved Patsy again. It wasn’t only the love that the grandmother had for her dog, it was also the love that Shelby had for her grandmother that touched millions of people around the world.

Without even thinking twice, Shelby broke the rules and walked into the hospital with Patsy hiding under a blanket. She made it look as if she was carrying a baby into the hospital but it was actually a dog.

When she walked into the room with Patsy, her grandmother was startled. She didn’t know what was hiding under the blanket but when she saw Patsy, she was absolutely delighted.

After sharing this on Facebook, many others came forward to say how they also had snuck a dog into the hospital to see someone who was feeling down. It’s a loving gesture and is like a gift that keeps on giving.
