Ethel Kennedy is someone who will be remembered for more than just being the wife of Robert F Kennedy. She would often tackle social injustice and she lived a long, and happy life.
Unfortunately, Robert F Kennedy’s widow, Ethel Kennedy, has passed away at the age of 96. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her death in Boston.
In her life, Ethel was often strongly involved in activism, and she had a deep devotion to her family. The news of her death was shared by her grandson, Joseph “Joe” Kennedy III on Twitter. He said: “She died this morning from complications related to a stroke suffered last week.”
She leaves behind nine children, 34 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Certainly, that is a legacy well worth considering.

Robert Kennedy Jr, Joseph’s uncle also expressed his concern over the loss on Twitter as well. He talked about her love life, despite the fact that she suffered a recent decline in her health. He said: “She never lost her sense of fun, her humor, her spark, her spunk, and her joie de vivre.”
She also often talked about reuniting with her loved ones after death. Robert Jr said: “She was never more enthusiastic about the afterlife than when she considered that she would also be reunited with her many dogs, including 16 Irish setters — all conveniently named “Rusty.”
As the news of her death continued to spread, many tributes came in. This included a tribute from her niece, Maria Shriver. She said: “What a life she led. What a huge family she created and leaves behind. I’m so glad I was able to laugh with her this summer, to share memories with her.”
