19-Year-Old Miss Teen Rodeo Kansas Dies In A Crash

When the death of someone young occurs it is always a shocking event. It is especially true when their life is taken away suddenly as a result of an accident.

This has happened to Emma Brungardt, a student who attended Colby Community College in Kansas. She was only 19 years old when she died in an automobile accident, and as the 2024 Miss Teen Rodeo winner, she will be missed by many.

An 18-year-old man from Colorado was supposedly driving Emma along with four of her teammates. They were in a 2007 Ford F-250 truck when it took a turn ‘between the Y striking a tree row.’ The vehicle then flipped over and landed on its tires.

The four teammates who were with Emma ranged between the ages of 18 and 20. They were treated for their injuries at the hospital but the reigning 2024 Miss Teen Rodeo Kansas, Emma Brungardt died at the scene.

Colby Community College posted a message on Facebook, saying: “Last night [Brungardt] along with four other team members and our work-study were involved in a car accident.”

The post concluded: “Unfortunately Emma did not walk away from this … We are praying for all families involved. Her light will live on in and around the rodeo arena.”

Information was also shared by The Miss Rodeo Kansas Pageant, Saying: “The Miss Rodeo Kansas Pageant would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of Emma Brungardt, our beautiful Miss Teen Rodeo Kansas 2024.

“Emma was a true gem and horsewoman who embodied what it meant to be a rodeo queen, always going above and beyond what was expected of her.

“We will miss her contagious smile and one in a million personality. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers as they navigate through this unimaginable loss.”
