Dying Cat Finds A Forever Home Through Hospice Adoption

Our hearts really go out to any animal in need but when it is a feline, it just seems to be something especially special. That is what we see in Griffin, and the story will make you cry happy tears.

Cats are our friends from the moment that we bring them into our home and the friendship can last for many years. We know that they don’t live the same life span as humans, but we also accept that we can be there for them through thick and thin.

Griffin was a cat that didn’t have a very happy life at home. It was an overcrowded space and he was often neglected. Add on top of that the rare cancer he developed, and he ended up in the arms of rescuers.

The type of cancer that Griffin experienced caused growths to grow around his mouth, in his ears, and nose. The ‘unimaginable hardships’ that the shelter described him overcoming were amazing, but those hardships didn’t stop him from being a loving kitten.

Unfortunately, Griffin was living on borrowed time and he only had a few months to experience everything that life would give to him. He was now living under the care of his rescuers, and they began looking for hospice adoption.

Griffin would not have to live out his years in captivity, he would now be sent to a loving home.

Not everybody has what it takes to adopt a cat that is as seriously ill as Griffin. Fortunately, there was somebody who had a kind heart and they decided to take on the hospice adoption.

After Griffin found his forever home, more than 100 people were expressing how happy they were for the lovely feline. The rescue said: “Griffin Found His Forever Home! We’re overjoyed to announce that Griffin has found his forever home! His new adopter is an incredible person with a history of rescuing special needs cats, and we’re confident Griffin will be showered with love and care for the time he has left.”

They went on to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who was involved in his rescue and looked out after him during such a difficult time.

We don’t all have the ability to do something like this but if it is something in your heart, you may just find that they have a lot of love to give.
