Three’s Company Broke The Mold And Reshaped The World

Television was truly evolving during the late 1970s and early 1980s. We had some of the best shows on TV at the time, and people would tune in by the millions to watch what was going on each and every week.

There was one particular show that took place during the late 70s and early 80s that reshaped the world in many ways. It broke through stereotypes and people loved it.

The show was Three’s Company, and it involved three roommates, two women and one man. They lived together in the same apartment, despite the fact that the landlord did not want the situation. In order to get by, the man in the show, Jack Tripper, played by John Ritter pretended he was homosexual.

At the beginning of the show, there were two women who played a number of seasons. Joyce DeWitt played the character of Janet Wood. She was a smart, responsible, and reasonable individual and that was necessary because of the other character.

That other character was played by Suzanne Somers, and she played the role of Chrissy Snow. There was always something funny going on in many strange situations that often involved an initial misunderstanding.

Eventually, Suzanne Somers would have a difference of opinion with the producers and, it was reported, with the other actors on the show. She would leave the show and be replaced by another. Her character continued to be replaced a few times.

Three’s company lasted until 1984 and all of the characters continued to act in various shows. Unfortunately, Suzanne Somers and John Ritter both passed away since that time, but their legacy lives on in a show that shaped the world.
