Dancing With The Stars is one of those shows that just seems to grab our attention every season. We love watching the dancers, whether they are amateurs or professionals.
Recently, something happened on the dance floor of Dancing with the Stars and it took everyone by surprise. After the video showed up online, people began spreading it around because of the obvious issue within it.
The two dancers stood up on the store, including a woman who was dancing with Ezra Sosa. They chose the Sabrina Carpenter song, Espresso and was on the last episode of Dancing with the Stars. She was debuting on the show with this dance.
The performance was absolutely flawless and beautiful but it was the accessory that really got people talking. The new dancer, who was said to be a fashionista and entrepreneur, was wearing a sparkling blue ankle monitor on the stage. It matched her outfit, but it still stood out.
The device was unusual enough but it had a bow decorating it, which made it even more ridiculous. She even tripped over it while rehearsing with her partner and he joked, “That ankle monitor is kind of inhibiting you today.”
The situation did come up and Carrie Ann Inaba addressed it during her comments. She said that people should have an open mind and added: “Let’s all just give this a chance. […] I’m not pro, or for, against anything that you’ve done. But this is about your dancing here.”
The other judges also agreed and were somewhat encouraging about her dance.
The dancer also spoke up, explaining why she was wearing the ankle monitor. She said: “I overstayed my visa because I was in jail, so it’s kind of hard to leave. I did serve my time.”
Despite the fact that she did a great job in her debut dance, people were more focused on the ankle monitor than her performance. It is something that will continue to grab attention until she is no longer wearing it.
