Dance Troupe Surprises Delayed Travelers With A Special Show

One of the problems that many of us have to face when we travel is some type of delay. It can happen for any number of different reasons but when we are traveling by plane, it seems to be a regular part of the journey. Perhaps we are held up on the plane when we are sitting on the tarmac but we may also find that we are sitting in the airport waiting for hours on end and we might not even know why!

These types of delays are a very frustrating part of any type of trip but when it comes to a delay for bad weather or a mechanical problem, we can certainly understand why it happens. To be honest, we all want to be as safe as possible when we are boarding a flight so these delays are sometimes inevitable. That doesn’t mean, however, that people don’t get grouchy when they are facing this type of delay. Sometimes tempers can run quite high.

Recently, passengers who were delayed at the Dallas, Texas airport were given a rather interesting show. They were milling about inside the terminal and getting angrier by the moment. Suddenly, a dance troupe showed up and it really helped to lighten the mood.

The hip-hop dance troupe, Funkywunks is from Orlando, Florida. The dancers are all young and fall between the ages of 17-28. When it comes to competitive dance, they are really burning up the charts. In fact, they were the US All-Star Federation champions in 2015 and they competed on World of Dance in 2018.

Since these performers were also stuck in the Dallas airport for six hours, they wanted to give the crown an opportunity to unwind and relax.

When they started the action, they put on an extended dance version of the Uptown Funk song by Bruno Mars. You can tell that is very well rehearsed and it is exactly what the crowd needed.

People all around the airport were stopping to watch this group dancing. It was an out of the ordinary event that they all needed to help them get through their rather difficult day.

After they were finished performing for the audience they shared the video on their Facebook page along with an explanation:

“Delayed Flight for 6 hours in Dallas. Many angry & tired passengers. Soooo Funkywunks sprung into action to do what we do BEST!!! Entertain and put smiles back on their faces !”

This would really make us smile, even if we were irritated about the delay!
