Michael Jackson has been gone for many years and there are plenty of people who still have an opinion about him today. Regardless of what that opinion is, however, it’s difficult not to admit that the man can dance.
Many people have tried to mimic his dancing over the years and some of succeeded to a certain extent. Others tend to fall short of the mark in a hilarious way. In either case, however, it’s interesting to watch.
Another form of dancing that is often given the credit it deserves is those who are part of a marching band. They may not dance in the traditional sense but the movements that they make are choreographed and it is interesting to watch.
One interesting choreographed event took place on October 19, 2013. The Ohio State University football team was playing against Iowa and the band took the field.
Nobody was probably expecting much from the Ohio State Marching Band, but they were celebrating their 100th anniversary and they wanted to do something interesting. In the end, they created something that was wonderful to see from the stands and a great thing to see in the video.
They began with a musical tribute of Michael Jackson. As they played those familiar songs, undoubtedly some were dancing in the stands and if they weren’t, they probably would’ve enjoyed dancing.
When the band started to move together, however, they ended up forming the shape of a human on the field. They then use that human in an amazing way to move backward and actually moonwalk across the field.
This was a wonderful tribute to Michael Jackson and an interesting way to show just how wonderful things can be when people work together to do something great.
