There’s been something rather interesting going around in many parts of the United States. It is something that is being taken part in by police officers that is known as the lip-synched challenge. It was started by one Police Department and they decided to call out other police departments so it spread like wildfire. There have been many that have put out some awesome videos but it is the Sherman Police Department of Texas that has most recently decided to step up to the plate.
Some of the different acts that we have seen with this particular phenomenon include lip-synching to Do You Want to Build a Snowman and Uptown Funk. There’s been a lot of talent in those videos but the Sherman Police Department decided to go old school. They are bringing a classic movie scene into their video but it doesn’t take place in the bar, it takes place in the doughnut shop. We find this to be rather ironic, to say the least.
The video takes place at the Hot N Creamy Donuts, and it seems as if they tend to congregate there to grab a snack. The whole place is full of police officers from the Sherman department but one lady steps up to the counter and it appears as if she is a regular customer.
There are four men sitting at a table and they are talking about the lip-sync challenge and what they should do. It seems as if there is a great idea brewing, as you are about to see.
Suddenly, one of the officers looks across to the stranger at the countertop. He turns back to his fellow officers and says “Wow. Hey, look at that… She’s lost that lovin’ feeling.”
The conversation starts passing back and forth for a moment and by this point, you probably know where it is heading. When the officer taps the woman on the shoulder, she spins around and then things take a turn.
The officer doesn’t sing into a microphone but he does sing into a donut. He starts lip-synching to You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling in the style of Tom Cruise from Top Gun.
It isn’t long before other officers join in and then the entire restaurant full of police officers is lip-synching. It is definitely something that you have to see to believe.
