There are some moments in time that just seem to capture our attention. Some of them do so for good reasons and others do so for bad reasons, but it often surrounds some of the more important things in life, including what is happening in the royal family. At times, something may come up in the royal family that really draws our attention to what is taking place in that circle, things that are often kept behind closed doors. This includes what happened with the Duke and Duchess of York, as they were divorced in 1996.
61-year-old Prince Andrew divorced Fergie and it certainly was big news at the time. Interestingly, it has become news again because the Duke and Duchess of York have always maintained a close relationship since that time. Despite the fact that they were separated in 1992 and divorced in 1996, they stayed close with each other and they even lived together in Royal Lodge in Windsor. There was also something else going on behind the scenes that most people didn’t realize, and is the fact that Fergie and Andrew are getting close once again. This is especially true now that the pandemic has happened, and Andrew is ‘keen to remarry Sarah Ferguson’.
Of course, there are some issues that need to be overcome, such as allegations of sexual abuse but if he is able to overcome it successfully, we may just be seeing a royal wedding happening and one that does not happen very often.
In the meantime, they have been seen together on many occasions and Fergie even announced that her heart is her oath. She also said that the wedding in 1986 was one of the best days she ever experienced. It will be interesting to see where this one goes, because she is all about commitment and we may just see this marriage rekindled once again.
