It doesn’t matter who we are, we all need a helping hand sometimes. Children love helping their parents and parents love helping their children, but it doesn’t always work out as we would expect. An example of this is seen in a four-year-old boy named Max Pratt. He absolutely loves helping his mother around the house, and anytime somebody delivers something, he will run out the door and pick it up for her off the front porch. That included the day that the video was captured that we show below. The problem was, it was a little more than he could handle.
When Max went out to pick up the package, it towered over top of him. As it turns out, it was a hammock that weighed 97 pounds! When he tried to lift it up, it fell over on top of him, and suddenly, he was on the porch yelling for help. It is one of those moments that any mother would shudder to even think about, and it is something that was captured on video from their Ring doorbell. Little did they know that they would get some help from somewhere else, and it was totally unexpected.
When Max was trying to get the package, his mother was helping his two-year-old sister in another room. The UPS driver, Marco Angel heard him calling for help and ran back across the street to get him. He picked the box up off of him and made sure that he was okay.
It’s always nice to have somebody come to our assistance, especially when we need help the most. That is certainly the case for this family, and they are very thankful that the UPS driver was there. He became a hero for them that day.
