96-Year-Old Woman In Pennsylvania Manages To Bowl A ‘No-Tap’ 300

People around the world enjoy taking part in sports, although the sports they enjoy may differ from one individual to another. One type of sport that probably doesn’t get the attention that it really deserves is bowling. It tends to be something that we do when we can’t think of anything else to do on a Friday night. It’s a lot of fun, however, and it doesn’t matter if we are a professional or if we need them to put up the bumpers, it is going to be an enjoyable time for everyone involved. Then again, there are some people who develop a love of bowling and get really good at it.

I think that Sara Lyons definitely fits into the category of somebody that has a love of bowling. She is from McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, but it isn’t her love of bowling that stands out, it’s the fact that she is 96 years old and is genuinely good at it! In fact, she has been making the rounds lately because of her age and level bowling and is now a viral sensation online. She said: “I’ve been bowling since I was 27 years old and that’s a lot of bowling.” Recently, she bowled a no tap 300!

Even though Sarah is about to turn 97 years old next month, she isn’t letting it slow her down one bit. When you see her out on the bowling lanes, dancing and having a great time, you would never guess that she was in her late 90s.

Of course, her family realizes that she is a special lady. The fact that she bowled a no tap 300 might confuse you, because not everybody is familiar with the term. If you are playing nine-pin no-tap, you are awarded a strike if you knock down nine or more pins on the first ball. Sarah did it with style, and you get to see it in this video:
