The 1980s Banana Clip Is Back And Better Than Ever

When it comes to fashion trends, we recognize that they come and go very quickly. Once something is posted online, typically in a picture or video on social media, it starts to be passed around and before you know it, a trend is born. Some of them are going to disappear almost as soon as they get their start, and you may not even realize that they are a trend in the first place. Other trends, however, stick around and although they may die out for a while, they build themselves back up over time.

An example of this was seen in the 1980s. One of the hair accessories that was used during that time was the banana clip. It was used to pull back hair into a ponytail and it was perfect, because big hair was such a big thing back at that time. Using a banana clip caused the hair to cascade and it looked as if it was a waterfall. Some people wore it with style and were absolutely beautiful but others simply wore it because it was trendy. It seems as if this trend is now picking up steam once again. That’s right, the banana clip is back!

Unlike some types of hair trends that require a specific type of hair, the banana clip works on any hairdo. Simply unhinge the top, pull the hair together and snap on the clip. Before you know it, your hair can have all of the volume you could possibly want. Banana clips also come in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. You can choose the one that is right for you and turn 2020 into a fantastic fashion statement.

Although the banana clip trend is making its rounds after being subdued for almost three decades, there are other trends that have made an appearance in recent times. One of these was having your eyelashes curled, and it is perhaps one of the more unusual trends that we have seen in recent days.

Of course, not everybody is going to be keen on the curled eyelashes but what about using some false lashes to create some unusual nose hair? Admittedly, most people would want the nose hair to stay away but this Instagram user makes it look fashionable.

I’m not sure if I’ll be using the nose hair extensions anytime soon but I may just consider using a banana clip on occasion!
