There have been some musicians over the years that just leave their mark on history in a way that will continue to affect us for decades. For example, you might think about Elvis Presley and the fact that he may have been dead for many years now, but his music continues to be recognizable and plays on the radio regularly. The same is also true of Freddie Mercury. Of course, a singer doesn’t have to die in order for us to appreciate the music that they perform and sometimes, they truly have a way of making us love what they are able to do. That includes a woman by the name of Stevie Nicks, who was the singer for Fleetwood Mac.
Fleetwood Mac was extremely popular back in the 1970s and into the 1980s. They sang a number of songs that are not only recognizable, many of us can sing along with them and we do when we hear them playing on the radio. Back in 1975, however, Stevie Nicks was singing the song that is playing in the video below, ‘A Landslide’. It was an absolutely amazing song that really showed all of the emotion that the band had to offer. We may think about Fleetwood Mac as being a rock ‘n’ roll band and all that you would expect out of it. It certainly is true that they could bring the audience to their feet but with Landslide, they really reached out to the heart and it seems as if they were able to do it successfully.
It’s hard to believe that almost 5 decades have passed since this song was playing on the radio the first time around. It was from the album “Fleetwood Mac” and it still continues to be a song we hear and love all these years later.
Interestingly, Fleetwood Mac has not gone away. In fact, they still tour on occasion and if you have the opportunity, you may just want to try and get tickets and see a little bit of this living legend before they fade off into history.
