There have been many songs that have enhanced our lives over the years. I’m sure that you can think of one or two of those tunes without too much of a problem. Many of them reach our hearts because they are speaking directly to it. The music and the lyrics combine to make us feel as if the song was written for us and it can really pick us up when we are feeling down. We might hear the song playing on the radio and when we do, we can’t help but sing along. At times, we also download them to our electronic device so we can listen to them as much as we like.
Although there are probably different songs that speak to different people, there is one song that most people agree on when it comes to being amazing. The song is by Leonard Cohen, and, although he did not make the song as popular as it is today, he did write it and give it as a gift to the world. The song is ‘Hallelujah’ and I’m sure you have heard it many times over the past decade or so. Perhaps you first heard it on the movie, Shrek, or it may have been on the radio. Regardless, it is amazing to hear.
There are some songs that we enjoy and there are others that inspire us to greater things. I think that the song Hallelujah is one that inspires us. If it doesn’t make us sing or cry, it makes us smile. Perhaps that is why we love it so much. You can hear it in the video below done by two women who really blend their voices in a beautiful way.
It happened at the Sing Premiere at TIFF, when Jennifer Hudson came out on stage to sing the song for those who were gathered there that day.
