Perhaps The Greatest Hole In One Performance in Price is Right History

Miniature golf (a.k.a putt-putt) must be one of the most fun games you can play, especially with a date or a bunch of friends. It takes all the tedious aspects of golf (sorry golfers) and tosses them out of the window, keeping the most intriguing part, the putt. Year after year, folks watch in breathless anticipation as golfers who drove their ball hundreds of yards to get to within inches of the hole, take the painstaking shot that makes or breaks their game. Nobody knows for sure when the game was invented or who invented it, but the earliest mention of a minigolf course was back in 1912 inside an edition of The Illustrated London News.

Since then, the game has been a hit for folks of all ages, even those who can’t stand the game of golf! Some of the insane courses and obstacles make minigolf a fun sport. In fact, some also think it should be an Olympic event! There’s even a World Minigolf Sport Federation (WMF) dedicated to advancing the legitimacy of this fun sport. One place that’s learned to appreciate the competitive value of minigolf is the Price is Right. The show features a putt-putt style game called Hole in One that allows contestants to compete for prizes. In this video, we watch as one woman competes to win a prize.

You can tell that this lady’s all business as she kneels down to measure her shots and even practices a few swings before committing. Her final shot was one that had the crowd cheering.
