Elvis Presley Performs His Last Song For All Time In This 1977 Concert

There have been many singers over the years that have risen to a high level of popularity. Some of those performers may have stood in front of audiences of tens of thousands of people and they did what they did best. Their records may have reached platinum or even higher and when you hear their songs on the radio, you instantly know who performed it and you may even be able to sing along to all of the words. Although there are many singers that fit into that category, I would say that Elvis Presley is at the top of the list.

Elvis Presley rose to fame as a singer many decades ago. He was known for his unusual sound and for his movements, which were quite risqué for the time. Elvis didn’t only stick with singing, he also was known for his acting and he incorporated his music into those roles. Eventually, Elvis became an icon in Las Vegas and you may remember seeing or perhaps hearing about some of the suits that he wore. That was certainly a different time, and even though Elvis died many decades ago, his music continues to live on in ways that other performers will never be able to experience.

Like any performer, Elvis Presley enjoyed being up on stage and you can see it in his smile and laughter as he was singing. In the video that you see below from 1977, you have the opportunity to enjoy watching Elvis perform ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight’. He had performed it many times, but this performance was special.

This performance was the last time that Elvis Pressley was on stage. He performed the song to an audience of people who absolutely loved hearing it and they had no idea that he would never be on the stage again. Fortunately, the moment was captured on video and you can see it for yourself below:
